Hi from Virginia,  I have just started on the diet 3 weeks ago and have lost 16 pounds. I need to lost at least 60 pounds.  I am already so tired of the Optavia Fuelings and I don't know if I will be able to stay on them for a long period of time but with help to make them into better tasting dishes will help. But my problem is that I am a Old Southern Grandmother and cook with lots of bad for you stuff like Gramma always fixed.  I don't like cheese, chocolate, coffee and I don't like a lot of herbs or spices or anything with a hot flavor to it, so that limits me a lot as how to fix a lot of dishes. I love real mash potatoes with gravy made from the grease I fried pork chops in like Mom and Gramma always fixed. I am trying to retain my mind and way of cooking for health reasons and I love it that I can get some good recipes from you... But I need simple recipes and not ones with many spices and herbs.  thanks for any help you can give me.

Best of luck on your efforts, remember to focus on the goal of what you want and not what you're losing so much. It took a little while but eventually I started to enjoy foods that I didn't think I would, you can get there too!

Been there myself so I know exactly how those vacation days can go. My suggestion is to really focus on what's important and your overall goal. Ship your fuelings prior to your trip or pack what's needed and travel with them. When dining out, look for options that fit the lean and green mold as much as possible. In the end if you choose to eat more off plan items during that time, know that your results could be impacted. Don't let that be a huge discouragement but instead get back on track, as I said try to "Swerve" as much as possible and not totally de-rail if you can.
