Lean & Green Mushroom Bun Sliders Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Scallions Finely Diced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Reduced Sodium Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt (optional)*
  • 1 can Light Cooking Spray
  • 12 medium Portobello Mushroom Caps
  • 6 small Reduced-fat Swiss Cheese Sliced
  • 3 small Roma tomatoes Sliced
  • 2 cup Romaine Lettuce

Lean & Green Mushroom Bun Sliders Instructions

  1. Combine the beef, scallions, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, and salt (optional) in a medium-sized bowl, and mix well. From mixture create 12 small, flat beef patties using your thumb to make an indention on one side of the patties.
  2. Coat grill rack lightly with cooking spray. Add beef patties, and grill covered, on medium heat until desired doneness.
  3. Add sliced mushroom caps to grill rack, and cook for 1 to 2 minutes per side (mushroom should still be somewhat firm).
  4. Cut cheese slices into four pieces each. Assemble sliders using sliced mushroom caps as buns, and add two pieces of cheese per slider. Serve with tomato slices and lettuce.
