For those new to OPTAVAIA, weighing your food is an important part of the OPTAVIA 5 & 1 program; in fact, it's one of the key elements. If you want to be successful, you need to make sure that each meal has been weighed exactly to the guidelines. And we're not talking about "close enough." We mean EXACTLY those amounts! So forget about using a measuring cup or even eyeballing it—you need a food scale!

We've worked hard to make sure that all OPTAVIA 5 and 1 recipes listed are approved for the OPTAVIA optimal weight 5 and 1 plan.

Lean & Green Mason Jar Chicken Parm Soup Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup No-sugar-added tomatoe sauce
  • 2 tbsp Reduced-Fat Italian Salad Dressing
  • 1 small Zucchini Spiraled
  • 6 oz Cooked Chicken Breast Chopped
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan Cheese Grated
  • 1 tbsp Fresh Basil Chopped
  • 8 oz Very Hot Water

Lean & Green Mason Jar Chicken Parm Soup Instructions

  1. Large Mouth Mason Jar. Pour tomato sauce and Italian Dressing (Rao's Homemade suggested) into the large mouth mason jar. Layer zucchini noodles (cut, sliced, or "spiralized" into noodle like strands), cooked chicken breast (chopped), parmesan, and basil on top.
  2. To serve: pour very hot water into mason jar, cover, and let it sit for 5 minutes.
