For those new to the plan, weighing your food is an integral part of the program; it's one of the critical elements. If you want to be successful, you need to ensure that each meal has been weighed according to the guidelines. And we're not talking about "close enough." We mean EXACTLY those amounts! So forget about using a measuring cup or even eyeballing it—you need a food scale!

We've worked hard to make sure that all recipes listed are approved for the plan.

The recipes on this site are intended for those on plan; however, they can easily be adapted to a low-carb or keto lifestyle. If you are following a ketogenic or low-calorie diet, you can enjoy many recipes found here to help keep you on track for your weight loss efforts.

Lean & Green Jalapeno Cheddar Burgers Ingredients

  • 26 oz Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 tbsp Onion Finely Diced
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 3 tbsp Low Fat Cream Cheese
  • 2 oz Low Fat Cheddar Cheese Shredded
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 medium Jalapeno Peppers Diced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil

Lean & Green Jalapeno Cheddar Burgers Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium or oven to broil on high.
  2. Using a small bowl combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder and diced jalapeno (if you prefer less spice remove seeds).
  3. Combine meat, salt and pepper and minced onion. Divide meat into 4 even pieces (7oz. each). Take 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture and flatten it into a pancake shape. Wrap turkey or beef around the cheese make sure the cheese mixture is completely covered with the meat. To keep from sticking to grill brush each burger with olive oil.
