A protein-rich low-carb diet can provide several benefits for weight loss. However, consuming a diet that is high in protein can help to prevent this muscle loss, as protein is essential for muscle repair and growth. This, in turn, can help to maintain and even increase metabolism, promoting long-term weight loss success.
